Eyelift Surgery

They say your eyes are the window to you soul. So the last thing any of us wants is tired, fatigued-looking eyes. Opening up the face with eyelift surgery (also known as Blepharoplasty) removes the look of fatigue, enlarges the eyes and restores the primary focal point of the face. Has anyone told you that you look tired even when you’re well rested? This is the classic situation for patients who are near the time for eyelid surgery. Blepharoplasty will freshen the eye area, making you appear more rested, alert and even more youthful.

Why Eyes “Age” Us So Quickly

Usually the first and most dramatic signs of aging of the face are seen in the eye area. Excess skin of the upper eyelids and puffy bags of the lower eyelids create the upper eyelid “hoods” and make the eyes appear smaller. Aging skin becomes loose and begins to sag. This becomes quite noticeable around the eyes as eyelids have the thinnest skin on your body. Fatty tissue under the lower eyelid skin begins to protrude outward, causing “bags” under the eyes and consequential dark hollows. This creates a tired, aged look despite the fact that many patients are not tired and are usually younger than they appear. Sun exposure also leads to a loss of elasticity and causes even more sagging or wrinkling.

Finding What’s Right for You

Too much skin removal during an upper eyelid blepharoplasty and you may look startled and unnatural. Dr. Sikorski implements a subtle technique which allows your eyes to maintain a natural harmonious balance with the rest of your face while looking younger, rested and more alert. “I’ve been fortunate to have had many years of arts training, which has taught me critically important fine points in facial balance subtleties and how to create them in delicate areas such as the eye. Being able to bring those skills into my surgery for the benefit of my patients leaves us both very pleased with the outcome”, says Dr. Sikorski. Many patients have the upper eyelids procedure done under a minimal anesthesia, allowing them to recuperate faster and get back to work within a week or so.

Cost of Eyelift Surgery

At Natural Image OC we maintain a top-level integrated, AAAHC accredited outpatient surgery center. This helps reduce cosmetic surgery costs because we are not tied to the additional costs of a satellite surgical center, nor do any “overtime” costs that can accrue from extra surgery time or anesthesiologist fees. Ultimately, this can save up to 25% over what many surgeries might cost elsewhere.

Your consultation visit

We offer complimentary cosmetic consultations where you’ll enjoy a relaxing visit to our office where you can ask questions, meet our staff, take a tour of our office and surgical suite and view blepharoplasty before and after photos of our patients. We look forward to meeting with you and helping you find the simplest solution to achieve the goals you desire.
