How Old Must I Be To Have a Liquid FaceliftWe often get calls from younger patients who have heard about BOTOX or Restylane and want to know if they are candidates for a liquid facelift. Men and women have been able to dramatically improve the appearance of their skin, erase years off of their faces, and get a more rested and “fresh” look. But how young is too young for a liquid facelift? In this blog, we’ll look at the age restrictions for a liquid facelift, and we’ll also discuss some of the benefits that younger patients get. If you’re curious about what a liquid facelift is or if you’d like to schedule an appointment with Dr. Sikorski, then just give us a call today. How it Works: the Liquid Facelift

Patients who have started to notice lines, wrinkles, and creases on their faces have a few different options to get rid of them. While some of our patients are great candidates for a full surgical facelift, many others can get gorgeous, natural-looking results with a treatment called a liquid facelift.

There are several benefits to a liquid facelift over a traditional one:

  • Non-invasive – A liquid facelift is usually a combination of a couple of different types of injectable treatments. This often includes BOTOX and dermal fillers like Restylane. This is a non-invasive approach that still delivers beautiful, youthful results.
  • Fast – With a liquid facelift, you can be in and out in about an hour.
  • Recovery – Many of our patients can immediately return to work after their liquid facelift. There is often some minor swelling and the greatest risk is bruising. But with proper care, many of our patients experience almost no recovery time.

Age Restrictions On A Liquid Facelift

Residents love to look their best no matter what their age is. The good news is that there isn’t an age restriction on many of the products that Dr. Sikorski uses for the liquid facelift procedure. BOTOX is sometimes used on very young patients with cerebral palsy to help reduce their muscle contractions. Patients who are under the age of 18 will need the consent of their parent or guardian before getting a liquid facelift.

We also want to point out one other thing. Patients that are in their 20’s could be able to prevent wrinkles from ever forming with a liquid facelift. Wrinkles are caused by the repeated folding of the skin from facial expressions. A liquid facelift could help patients maintain wrinkle-free skin for longer by getting them done early.

However, there is some wisdom in enjoying your youth, and Dr. Sikorski always discusses all of the risks and rewards with every single patient, no matter how old they are.
