This becomes quite noticeable around the eyes as eyelids have the thinnest skin on your body. Fatty tissue under the lower eyelid skin begins to protrude outward, causing “bags” under the eyes and consequential dark hollows. This creates a tired, aged look despite the fact that many patients are not tired and are usually younger than they appear. Sun exposure also leads to a loss of elasticity and causes even more sagging or wrinkling.
