About Brow Lift
Lifting the brow can provide some of the most dramatic appearance changes. The endoscopic approach is the least invasive and the most recent technique. The procedure is performed with the use of an endoscope (a small light and camera attached to a very small cable that is connected to a video monitor). This allows Dr. Sikorski to directly see the muscles and tissues beneath the skin that need to be modified and lifted. Endoscopic brow positioning is much preferred over older open scalp surgeries. With the endoscope, only a few very small incisions need to be made and these incisions are behind the hairline. No one will see that you have had surgery because any small scars will be hidden by your hair. Dr. Sikorski prefers endoscopic surgery for a number of reasons – Less healing time, less risk of hair loss, less post-surgical numbness and less risk of infection.
A brow lift opens the eyes, tightens the skin of the eyelids and raises the brows to a position that restores the look of energy and wellness. Occasionally referred to as a forehead lift, a brow lift repositions the muscles to lift and tighten the area above and including the brow.
